Tasting Notes

Beautiful dark plum red. Complex nose of dark berries, violets and cacao. Sweet dark cherries, white pepper and toasted oak. Full, well-balanced wine with complex flavours of cherry cigar and violets, with a lingering aftertaste of dark chocolate and a smooth tannin. Unusual red varietal which lends itself to great food pairings. Goes well with venison and ostrich steaks, roasted lamb shank and springbok Carpaccio.

A soft blushy red color. On the nose it is floral with soft ripe muscat with a hint of spice. Delicious just on its own, but a great match with moderate to strong Curry dishes, smoked charcuterie and cheese platters.
